Brenda founded her company in 1990.  Environmental Solutions converts waste byproducts into commercial materials.  According to Brenda, there is no such things as waste, just resources out of place.

Katie Hamann, Door to Door Solutions

Katie specializes in senior move management and coordination, which usually involves relocation to a retirement or assisted-living community.  Her services include downsizing assistance and packing and unpacking.

Owens & Minor Community Service Award
Ashley Hines, Craftmasters of Virginia, Inc.

Ashley recognized the important of play to a child's well-being and led the effort to raise $70,000 for equipment and the installation of a playground at Virginia Treatment Center for Children, a mental health facility.

Beth Bailey, Pediatric Associates

Beth is president and part-owner of a company dedicated to home health care for children.  The company not only helps children but supports their families with equipment, training and support.

Melissa has been an active member of NAWBO since 2000.  She has led committees, served as president and was co-chairwoman of the Enterprising Women of Excellence dinner.  Melissa won the 2002 NAWBO Rising Star Award and is a member of the NAWBO Foundation board and the Hospital Hospitality House board.

Three of the four woman business owners included in this year’s Rising 25, a list of the top 25 fastest-growing companies in metro Richmond, are members of the Richmond Chapter. Included in this list of companies with combined revenues of $360 million that employ more than 2,000 people are:

Data Concepts offers systems development, implementation and integration services through custom-built turnkey solutions, onsite consulting and offsite development. (Finalist for NAWBO LandAmerica Entrepreneur of the Year in 2003)

Katrina VanHuss is President and Chief Executive Officer of Turnkey Promotions, which sells promotional products and advertising specialties and develops and administers fulfillment programs. Turnkey assists its clients with name and brand recognition through promotional products, direct mail and marketing programs. (NAWBO LandAmerica Woman Entrepreneur of the Year in 2003).
