Join us for this exciting virtual event on

Wednesday, July 21st from 11:00 AM -12:00 PM!

Governor Ralph Northam will speak with members of NAWBO Richmond and NAWBO Greater DC about the state's current actions and future plans to support the recovery of the local economy and locally-owned businesses in the wake of the pandemic. Following the governor's remarks and a Q & A session, a panel of staff from the governor's office will field additional questions. Panelists include Secretary of Workforce Development, Dr. Megan Healy, Deputy Secretary of Commerce and Trade, Cassidy Rasinck, and Secretary of the Commonwealth, Kelly Thomasson. This event will be moderated by Molly Gimmel of NAWBO Greater DC and Sarah Sladek of NAWBO Richmond.

We encourage you to submit your questions for the governor and panelists in advance when reserving your ticket online. Zoom information will be sent out one day prior to the event. Please see the agenda below for more detailed information.

11:20 - 11:30 AM – Governor responds to audience questions (moderated by representatives of NAWBO Richmond and NAWBO DC)


11:30 - 11:45 AM - Panel discussion with members of the Governor's cabinet, including information on resources available to women business owners and an outlook of Virginia's workforce and employment trends
